Habitat for Humanity is building a $5 million affordable housing project that will add 14 single-family homes in Olathe near 159th Street and Black Bob Road using volunteers and local partners—its first homeowner has already been accepted. The neighborhood will include green space and a park, and eight homes are expected to be finished by year’s end—providing stable, affordable options for local families.

The added tax will be levied for 22 years to fund construction expenses.
