About this event

Birds Along the Creek | Beginner-Friendly Birdwatching Sunday, November 1 | 9:00–10:30 AM

Join us for a relaxed Sunday morning of birdwatching at Mill Creek Streamway Park!

We’ll explore the paved trail, keeping our eyes and ears open for birds along the creek and surrounding trees.

I’m a beginner birder myself, so this is a space for learning together, asking questions, sharing discoveries, and simply enjoying the experience.

What to bring:

• Binoculars if you have them (not required)

• Comfortable walking shoes

• Water and weather-appropriate layers

• Curiosity!

We’ll move at an easy pace with plenty of pauses. You’re welcome to come alone, and all experience levels are welcome.

Meeting point: Wilder Drive trailhead, 19425 Wilder Drive, Shawnee, KS.

Come as you are. Pauses are welcome, and there’s no pressure to know your birds!
