About this event
The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Healthy KC initiative, in partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City, partnered with UMKC’s Henry W. Bloch School of Management to study employees’ work-life experiences across the Kansas City region. Join us for an informative program unveiling the research findings and exploring how employers can use them to strengthen employee well-being, effectiveness and retention.
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of:
• The four dimensions of the work-family interface: work-to-family conflict, family-to-work conflict, work-to-family enrichment, and family-to-work enrichment.
• How work-life conflict affects employee stress, well-being, job satisfaction, and retention.
• The ways workplace culture and supervisor behavior can intensify or reduce work-life conflict.
• Practical steps employers can take, including training supervisors, evaluating workplace norms, and implementing clear, supportive policies.
• How work can become a source of confidence, fulfillment, and support that enriches employees’ lives beyond the workplace.
Registration is free. Join the KC Chamber and Healthy KC to explore how research-informed workplace practices can help employees thrive at work and at home.
