Rock Island Live Open Jam with Legerdemain

About this event

Steel pan, a cello, and a Saturday afternoon with nothing on the schedule.

The Open Jam with Legerdemain returns to the American Royal Hall on the historic Rock Island Bridge on Saturday, November 7th, from 12 to 3 PM. Legerdemain is a Kansas City steel pan led fusion group with deep jazz roots, and its original music pulls from styles all over the world. The core quartet is Marcus Rattler on drums and amplified steel pan, Daniel Yung on cello and keys, Zach Arias on guitar, and Andrew Voggessor on bass. It’s a laid back afternoon of live music above the Kansas River.

Here’s What to Expect:

• Live steel pan led fusion from a Kansas City original

• Sets that blend jazz, blues, and global styles

• Original music written and arranged by the band

• Food and drinks available on the bridge

• A Saturday afternoon of live music with the Kansas River below
