About this event

The third annual Magpie Makers Market will feature more than 35 talented local vendors, each offering handmade art, gifts, and crafts created from reused, recycled, or repurposed materials. Shoppers can expect to find one-of-a-kind items including upcycled jewelry, eco-friendly home décor, repurposed textiles, and much more. The Magpie Makers Market is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices by highlighting goods that are as kind to the planet as they are beautiful.

Admission to the Magpie Makers Market is free and open to all. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase distinctive, responsibly made gifts while supporting local artists and the mission of Magpie Creative Reuse Collective. In addition to the diverse vendor booths, there will be a special Magpie pop-up Christmas sale featuring holiday decor and craft items—perfect for makers and creative hobbyists looking to stock up on unique DIY holiday supplies.

Magpie Creative Reuse Collective is a start-up nonprofit Creative Reuse Center based in Kansas City. Magpie’s mission is to collect and resell leftover, surplus, and unwanted materials from individuals, businesses, and organizations, keeping usable items out of the landfill and putting them into the hands of artists, educators, and makers. By fostering creativity and offering affordable access to materials and educational resources, Magpie aims to help the community reimagine waste as a source of creativity.
