About this event
Follow the sound. On Dec. 1, more than a dozen working typewriters will be set out in Watson Library’s 3 West Reading Room for anyone to sit down at and try. No experience needed, just curiosity and a free hand. Expect a flurry of clacking keys, vintage machines from the collection of KU student and typewriter repairer Jonathan Swanberg, who will share a bit about his collection and typewriter history. Type something profound. Type something profane. Free and open to all.
