ADHDKC November Adult Support Group

Mindfulness & ADHD

Finding focus, slowing down, and reconnecting with the present moment

Living with ADHD can sometimes mean feeling like your brain is always “on”—jumping between thoughts, getting distracted, reacting quickly, or having difficulty staying present.

In this group, we’ll explore how mindfulness can be a practical tool for navigating everyday ADHD challenges.

We’ll explore:

🧠 What mindfulness is—and what it isn’t

🔄 How ADHD can make it difficult to stay present

🎯 Using mindfulness to improve attention and focus

💭 Noticing thoughts without getting pulled into them

🌱 Managing emotions and impulsive reactions

⏸️ Creating a pause between a thought, feeling, and response

🛠️ Simple mindfulness strategies you can actually use in daily life

You’ll leave with:

Practical, ADHD-friendly mindfulness techniques you can use at home, at work, during stressful moments, and throughout your daily routines.

Who Should Attend?

This group is designed for adults with ADHD, those who suspect they may have ADHD, and adults who want to better understand how sensory processing influences everyday life.

No prior knowledge is needed—just come ready to learn, share, and connect with others who understand the unique challenges of living with ADHD.

About the ADHDKC Adults’ Group

We meet monthly to build community and support adults navigating ADHD in everyday life. Each meeting includes:

• A featured topic introduced by Nic & Abbie

• Time for discussion, questions, and shared strategies

• Space for members to suggest future topics based on what matters most to them

Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have years of lived experience, this group offers a space to connect, learn, and grow together.

Join the Conversation

ADHDKC Adult Support Groups provide a welcoming, supportive environment where adults can learn evidence-based information, exchange practical strategies, and connect with others who truly "get it."

We hope you'll join us for an engaging discussion and leave with a better understanding of your sensory experiences—and tools to help you navigate them with greater confidence.
