About this event
Play Free
Join us Thursday, November 12, at 7 pm at the Lawrence Arts Center for a free public screening of the short documentary Play Free. The film follows incarcerated mothers as they reunite with their children for a day of uninterrupted play at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center — away from prison walls, guards, and the barriers that separate families impacted by incarceration. A Q&A follows with director Steve Lerner and Dené Mosier, CEO of the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center and founder of the Play Free program.
