About this event

Red tape, red flag, seeing red, painting the town red. What does it mean to represent the color red? Often, we associate the color red with intense emotion or a warning. Other times, we think of flowers, birds, or hearts. The Lawrence Arts Center invited artists to submit artwork that relates to the subject/color “red” which was open to the artist’s interpretation.

Out of over 300 submissions from across the country, our juror selected 75 pieces for this exhibition. Selected artwork explores various concepts across many mediums. We are thrilled to bring this dynamic and diverse group of artworks to the community.
