GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Johnson County's two airports received $1.5 million in federal funds for improvements and $4.3 million in grants, announced Friday by Rep. Sharice Davids. The upgrades will boost safety + support local business and job growth in the area. Olathe Reporter
- ➤ Gov. Kelly announced Dec. 22 that the Chiefs plan to build a new stadium in Kansas City and open their headquarters and training facility in Olathe; the City Council will vote by Feb. 22 on local sales tax contributions and STAR bonds to fund the $3 billion project. Johnson County Post
