- ➤ Meals on Wheels volunteers in Johnson County brave the winter cold to deliver 700 meals across the community — even when sidewalks are unshoveled and roads turn into skating rinks. On snowy days, they distribute pantry boxes with nonperishable food to ensure no resident is left without backup. KSHB
- ➤ Crews began bridge repair work on I-435 near Woodend Road yesterday to fix damage from a truck incident last year + both directions of Woodend were reduced to a single lane, and the work is expected to last a week. KMBC
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Hardee's closed its last two Johnson County outlets in Overland Park (at 10500 Metcalf Ave.) and Olathe (at 815 S. Parker St.) at the end of December after its franchisee ARC Burger could not meet agreement terms. The Tennessee-based chain said it is working on reopening the locations. Johnson County Post
