- ➤ Developers in the Cedar Creek neighborhood got approval Tuesday to rezone 62.5 acres southwest of the area for new commercial, residential, or mixed use (after a 7-0 city council vote). They have not yet announced a final plan for the land. Olathe Reporter
- ➤ The Starfish Project, an Olathe nonprofit serving over 1,000 people each week, received a 90-day notice Monday to vacate its West Santa Fe Plaza space and is now searching for a new home (it moved there seven months ago due to project abatements). Olathe Reporter
- ➤ KSHB 41 News will host its Let's Talk event at Red Crow Brewing Company in Olathe from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, where local residents can share ideas with reporters about community issues. KSHB

- ➤ Sam Brown, a 53-year coach from the Kansas City area, will attend the Super Bowl as he watches his son Mack serve as a Seahawks assistant on Sunday. The Browns, with ties to Shawnee Mission North + Baker University, mark a proud local family milestone. KCTV 5
