A task force meets in April and May — a steering committee will recommend closures in September, with the board voting in October and boundary changes set for January. Johnson County Post
- ➤ State lawmakers weakened a proposed ban on cell phones in K-12 schools by converting a mandate into a recommendation. Local school boards will update policies ahead of fall to manage phone use in class. Johnson County Post
