- ➤ Conservation groups are planning to restore native woodlands and add urban rain gardens along the Blue River to reduce pollution and flooding (the project includes up to 240 acres of habitat) as the river travels from rural Johnson County to the metro, with funding from the American Rescue Plan Act.
