ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gas prices in the area spiked 20-40 cents recently amid global tensions, and experts cited supply issues from Iran disruptions. Analysts expect prices to return to normal within a month or two, noting that most oil comes from Canada & Mexico. KMBC
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Voters in three local school districts delivered different results on bond proposals. Olathe approved a $389 million measure (the largest in district history) to improve schools, De Soto backed a bond for safety and new programs, while Lansing rejected plans for facility repairs. KCTV 5

- ➤ State Line Road will reduce to one lane northbound and southbound between 92nd and 95th Streets and between 100th Terrace and 103rd Street starting March 11 (tentative) due to a Johnson County Wastewater project that installs a sanitary sewer forcemain and repaves southbound lanes; work will finish in May.
