Bagels will open a new store at 295 N. Kansas Highway 7 (near Red Crow Brewing Company and First Watch) in Olathe, marking its sixth location in Johnson County and following the recent Lenexa opening.

On Tuesday, the City Council approved 86 acres of land for combined warehouse and residential development, including the Parkside Reserve phase 7 project (13.36 acres set for 37 single-family homes) southwest of S.
Black Bob Road and W. 167th Street.
The Kansas Senate approved an amendment (21-18 vote) that requires school districts to get written parental consent for student walkouts and imposes fines based on a superintendent's daily salary, following concerns after disruptions near Olathe Northwest High School.
The rules will take effect next school year.
