158th Place — its third county location. The cabin-style shop will donate $1 from every Saturday and Sunday purchase during its grand opening weekend to the Olathe Public Schools Foundation.
Zen Donkey Farms opened its new cafe and juicery inside AdventHealth Shawnee Mission campus in Merriam earlier this month + it now serves organic cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and plant-based meals from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Olathe Public Schools will face an extra cost of over $1 million to meet a new law that bans cell phones and devices during school hours by requiring secure storage (state funds will not cover the expense).
The law takes effect Sept. 1, impacting K-12 public schools.
