GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Johnson County's Area Agency on Aging is asking seniors, caregivers and professionals to fill out a survey that will help design the Area Plan on Aging for 2026—2029. The survey is open until the end of April.  KSHB
  • After a three-month winter break, work rebuilding the I-435 bridge at Midland Drive in Shawnee resumes today, closing westbound Midland from Renner Road, eastbound from Elmridge and the southbound ramp from I-435 until November. Drivers should use detour routes while city officials and local businesses in the Midland Entertainment District work to ease traffic and economic challenges.  Johnson County Post

SPORTS NEWS

  • Fans have more than 60 chances to enjoy promotions at Kauffman Stadium as the Royals offer special giveaways like bobbleheads and collector cards for key games this season — some available only to the first 20,000 fans. The promotions include a 2015 World Series bobblehead series on April 26, June 13, July 11 and Sept. 19 plus a special 1985 championship bobblehead on May 16 and a collector card series on April 6, July 8 and Aug. 29.  KMBC
