- ➤ A two-year-old girl in Osawatomie was taken to the hospital in critical condition after ingesting an unknown amount of methamphetamine Tuesday night at 520 Pacific Avenue — officers later arrested her mother on charges of aggravated child endangerment and drug-related offenses. KCTV 5
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At Tuesday’s address at the Overland Park Convention Center, County Chair Mike Kelly said the county must build more moderately priced homes to help lower property taxes and plan a review of spending with new computer tools—this will help save money without cutting key services. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Priscilla Brittine, a stomach cancer survivor who learned she had a CDH1 mutation, had her stomach removed in her early-thirties as a precaution even though tests showed no cancer. She is raising funds and meeting with lawmakers in Washington DC (with support from nonprofits like Debbie's Dream Foundation and Hope For Stomach Cancer) to push for more research funding.
