- ➤ Volunteers have put over 100 hours into preparing Tulip Time at Old Prairie Town with displays featuring weekly rotated tulips and transformed lighting at twilight—live local music and food trucks will be available today and tomorrow. KSNT
- ➤ The Johnson County Post earned six Kansas Press Association awards, including first-place prizes for a feature story by Kaylie McLaughlin and for its daily newsletter 'Out Front'—with additional honors recognizing feature photo, youth reporting, spot news photo and website work. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A semi-truck crashed on U.S. Highway 69 in southern Johnson County on Thursday morning at about 7:18 a.m.—the crash killed the truck driver and left a passenger seriously injured while crews worked to clear the lanes by about 2:45 p.m. Johnson County Post

- ➤ Johnson County-based Westlake Ace Hardware reopened its Olathe store in a new 11,500 square foot location at the northeast corner of 151st Street and Black Bob Road after closing its previous site on N. Clairborne Rd. due to planned construction at the Interstate 35/Santa Fe Street interchange—bringing a wide range of tools, home goods, and repair services closer to local residents. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Enrollment at Olathe Public Schools has dropped for the third straight year—now at 28,454 from a 2019 peak of 30,216—after the school board received the data yesterday. Olathe Reporter
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Overland Park City Council voted unanimously to advance the rezoning and preliminary plan for the Blackhawk Trail project near 172nd Street and Metcalf Avenue.
