- ➤ Lenexa Police reported that more than $2 million was stolen in a mail theft scheme when thieves intercepted checks dropped off by about 40 residents at an outdoor mailbox on Monrovia—detectives from 10 agencies are investigating the case. KSHB

- ➤ 3rd District Representative Sharice Davids visited the FAA air traffic control center in Olathe Wednesday to highlight federal cuts to aviation and plans to boost flight safety throughout 2025. Her visit comes amid industry job shortages — it follows a flight from Wichita that collided with an Army helicopter in Washington D.C. three months ago, causing the first major crash in 16 years that killed 67 people.
