- ➤ Educators and local officials gathered Wednesday morning at MidAmerica Nazarene University to address K-12 teacher shortages by changing the narrative around education. - ➤ Johnson County school districts say state funding for special education has been below the required 92% since 2011, forcing them to use local funds for student programs. They received additional funding ($6 million) for next school year and will ask lawmakers for full support. KSHB
