- ➤ The Shawnee Mission South community mourns 18-year-old Itzel Guerra and her 17-year-old boyfriend, Jose Placensia Castañeda, who died last week in a prom night crash when his car crossed the median without seat belts — a memorial service for Itzel was held Saturday — and a candlelit vigil is set for Monday with funeral services for Jose on Tuesday.
