- ➤ OPS is planning improvements at the K-10 & Lone Elm interchange to fix traffic problems which may affect Manchester Park Elementary, Meadow Lane Elementary and Prairie Trail Middle. Olathe Public Schools' superintendent Brent Yeager asked the Kansas Department of Transportation to design safe walkways for students. Olathe Reporter
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Johnson County residents and local health care providers expressed deep worry about possible Medicaid cuts as Congress plans to reduce spending by $880 million over the next 10 years—threatening coverage for children, seniors and people with disabilities. A meeting is set for May 7 by the House Energy and Commerce Committee to review these plans while some officials promise to protect those in need. Johnson County Post
