  • Olathe Police arrested Dartanan Hudgens (born in 1977 and without a permanent address) at 11:32 a.m. Friday on a pending first-degree murder charge in connection to the death of Karen M. Peterson (whose body was found Wednesday in her North Persimmon Drive home near Olathe West High School).  Johnson County Post

  • A Livability study looked at almost 2,000 small to mid-sized cities using eight areas—like economy, housing, education and health—and found Olathe is one of the best places to live. The report also named top cities such as Flower Mound, Carmel and Sugar Land.  KSNT
