  • On Tuesday morning, a thermal event at the Panasonic facility in De Soto led to an evacuation as fire crews from multiple local agencies responded and worked to control the situation (no injuries were reported) while investigators examined the cause.  KCTV 5

  • Ulta Beauty will open two Johnson County stores (one replacing a former Beauty Brands space at Shawnee Station and the other planned at Overland Crossing near Whole Foods) to expand its local footprint. The Illinois-based retailer already operates stores, including one in Olathe.  Johnson County Post
