The Olathe city council approved an upgraded basketball court for Black Bob Park on Tuesday and plans to build the new facility in the same location as the old one.

New Jersey-based Burlington filed plans to open a discount clothing store in the former Joann’s shop at Parkway Plaza off Shawnee Mission Parkway in Shawnee.

The move adds to planned Burlington locations in Overland Park & Olathe, with another store scheduled to open in spring 2027.
