- ➤ The Parks & Recreation Foundation of Johnson County will host the Meadowbrook Park Festival on Friday, June 6 at the park’s Great Lawn at 9101 Nall Ave in Prairie Village where local artists, food trucks, and musicians will entertain visitors. The free event will feature music from 7 to 9 p.m.—with performances by The Allied Saints, Jillian Riscoe, and Jim 'Mr. Stinky Feet' Cosgrove—and family activities while funds raised benefit the Public Art Program. - ➤ Jack in the Box closed its Overland Park and Merriam stores on May 21—leaving Johnson County without any—and the company will close between 150 and 200 restaurants nationwide as it works to improve its financial performance. Johnson County Post
