The Olathe Public Schools task force has recommended closing three to four elementary schools and one middle school as enrollment declines, with the Facility Alignment Steering Committee set to name specific schools on Sep.
3. Changes may affect attendance boundaries and staff assignments starting in the 2027-28 school year.
Johnson County Library’s De Soto and Spring Hill branches reopened today after eight months of full interior and exterior renovations.
The upgraded libraries offer reconfigured layouts, study and conference rooms (added in response to community demand) and updated technology to support the upcoming Summer Reading program.
