- ➤ PaPPo’s Pizzeria & Pub will open its first Johnson County location at 7070 W. 105th St. in Overland Park in October — marking its 12th site and meeting long-standing local customer requests. Local franchisee Casey Richards, with nearly a decade of experience, will run the restaurant — which will offer handcrafted pizzas made from scratch and seat over 150 guests inside and 20 on the patio. - ➤ Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company opened its new $400 million plant on Tuesday on South Hedge Lane in Olathe—spanning 150 acres with a 700,000-square-foot building that houses four production lines making 2,000 cans and 900 bottles per minute for more than 25,000 customers. State officials said the facility marks an important step for Kansas and supports modern manufacturing efforts. Johnson County Post

- ➤ Olathe Police ask the public to help locate 36-year-old Sarah Joann Johnson, last seen in the 300 block of South Water Street on Saturday, June 7 — she is 4-foot-11, weighs about 130 pounds, has blonde hair and green eyes, and sports a butterfly tattoo on one ankle and a tattoo reading McKenzie on one leg — as the investigation continues.
