- ➤ Two young men, Philip Grele and Drew Diaz, started their cross-country charity walk in Delaware 111 days ago and nearly finished their Kansas journey after entering the state 20 days ago, ending their Kansas chapter Thursday—raising funds for Convoy of Hope. They will continue walking west to support the charity that feeds kids and responds to disasters. KSHB

- ➤ At about 3:06 p.m. on Wednesday, Olathe police arrived at West Elm Street — South Kansas Avenue after a train hit and killed a man and launched an investigation. Olathe Reporter
