- ➤ Pools in Shawnee and Mission are fully staffed for summer—officials report that Shawnee has 100 lifeguards while Mission has about 75 to 80 on duty after staffing losses last year. Training programs and hiring efforts began last November to help keep community swimmers safe. KSHB

- ➤ Shine with Joy Foundation partners with CorePower Yoga for a free yoga event held today at the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center to honor former Chiefs cheerleader Krystal Anderson during the summer solstice. - ➤ Shawnee Mission School District still has enrollment open for Summer Enrichment classes for students from Pre-K through seventh grade at Westridge Middle School—classes run in morning and afternoon sessions with care options available.
