Johnson County Library’s Black & Veatch MakerSpace has expanded its hours to 54 per week with new staff and expanded programming to serve more patrons.
The MakerSpace now offers enhanced equipment such as laser cutters, 3D printers, and Maker Kits — with additional new tools scheduled to debut this fall.
🏈 Sports
More than 3,850 people attended a carnival and pep rally at Aspiria in Overland Park on Sunday to start the year-long countdown for the 2026 World Cup—attendees enjoyed live music, food trucks, soccer games and volunteer sign-up sessions.
Organizers say the six matches scheduled for Arrowhead Stadium from June 16 through July 11 will need up to 6,000 volunteers to support visitor services.
