Today, Kansas lawmakers will meet to discuss extending the state's STAR bonds offer to the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals if a team moves across state lines—covering up to 70% of a new stadium's cost.

The offer expired June 30 but can be extended for another year by a special committee after Chiefs President Mark Donovan requested the change.

Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. and pitcher Kris Bubic will play in the 2025 All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 15 at 7 p.m. CT.

Witt is making his second All-Star appearance and Bubic was chosen after returning from surgery — both earned strong votes for their play.
