Olathe city officials recommended 11 ways to use the annual community development block grant to fund improvements, housing, community development and services for low- to moderate-income residents.

The council will vote on the proposals at a future meeting while the city is expected to receive $451,000 in funding for 2026 from a total of $520,594 in requests—supporting targeted development—.
