- ➤ Kansas City teachers, including Olathe East teacher Eli Woody, are asking for donations to help supply classrooms before the new school year begins+ the initiative led by Rachel Kilmer runs through July as hundreds of wishlists have been submitted for items like flashcards and charging strips. - ➤ Olathe residents gave feedback on the city’s first comprehensive plan rework since 2010 (focusing on new housing, more retail and improved cross-town travel) and said these priorities will guide future development decisions. Olathe Reporter
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Johnson County Department of Health and Environment is hosting three walk-in vaccination clinics to help students get the required immunizations before the new school year begins. The clinics will be held on July 25 and Aug. 1 at the Health Services Building in Olathe—located at 11875 S. Sunset Drive—and on Aug. 8 at the Northeast Office Building in Mission, and parents must accompany their children to complete paperwork. Johnson County
