Students in Olathe return to school under a new statewide phone ban that requires them to store phones away during class.
The district offers choices—lockers, cars or special phone stations—to help reduce distractions.
🏈 Sports
Johnson County Parks and Rec held a youth triathlon on Sunday morning where children raced on foot and bike, skipping the swimming portion because of safety concerns.
The event aimed to build confidence and promote outdoor activity for kids as young as five.
More than 20 teams competed in a weekend wiffle ball tournament to honor 10-year-old Duke Ommert and raise awareness for the Do Like Duke Foundation—established to support youth sports, kindness, and inclusion.
Duke’s family said the event celebrated his love for the game and his motto 'Bring your glove'.
