An 11-year-old Olathe girl jumped from a boat to help a swimmer and was struck by a boat propeller at Table Rock Lake near PT 5 south of Branson West before 4 p.m. Saturday—she was airlifted by Air Care to a Springfield hospital.
After a brief period with the Jets, Derrick Nnadi rejoined the Chiefs when a trade was finalized on Sunday—New York sent a conditional pick to Kansas City for a conditional draft option.
Nnadi, who helped win three Super Bowls with the team, now returns to bolster the Chiefs' defensive line.
On Sunday, the Royals beat the Tigers 10-8 as Vinnie Pasquantino and Maikel Garcia hit home runs and John Schreiber pitched 1 1/3 innings to secure the win.
The victory improved the Royals' record to 28-14 while the Tigers ended their five-game win streak.
