Downtown Olathe will host the Johnson County Old Settlers Parade on Saturday, Sept.
12 from 10 a.m. to noon and it will air live on KSMO-TV—street closures begin at 8 a.m.—marking the start of a three-day festival celebrating 120 years of local heritage.
Starfish Project opened its new permanent location at 16175 W.
135th Street on Monday, though it will not be fully operational for a few weeks (after operating temporarily earlier this year).

Overland Park native Jeff Maher will tackle the seven-day World Marathon Challenge starting Jan.
30, 2027 plus he will run marathons across seven continents, including Antarctica and Miami, while raising $50,000 for the Susan Hurley Fund with his coach's support.
