- ➤ On October 16, the NFL and American Heart Association launched the 2025 Nation of Lifesavers™ Player Ambassador Class to spread CPR awareness — the program features 31 NFL players including Kansas City Chiefs' Creed Humphrey and George Kalaftis. KCTV 5
- ➤ The Olathe School District sent letters on Thursday to families at Santa Fe Trail Middle School—warning that a confirmed case of whooping cough may have exposed students. The district said children who have coughed for two weeks should see a doctor and stay home until they complete five days of antibiotics—ensuring they do not spread the illness. FOX 4 Kansas City

- ➤ Johnson County officials approved a deal to sell the county owned 455000 square foot former CenturyLink headquarters near Gardner to Kansas City based Sky Partners II, LLC for 5 million dollars. The sale will include a nearby 13000 square foot building and 37 acres and is pending a 120 day due diligence period — officials expect finalization soon. Johnson County Post
