- ➤ The Olathe City Council approved a renovation plan for Woodbrook Park Tuesday that will add new playground equipment, synthetic turf, musical features, an adaptive swing set, sensory-friendly pods, and dynamic play walls—updates that will create a more inclusive play space. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Local foresters warned that oak wilt, a fungal infection that quickly kills oak trees, could threaten the shade and beauty of streets and yards in the area. They added that pruning trees in winter can help stop the beetles — which spread the fungus through roots—from starting an outbreak. Johnson County Post
