- ➤ An Olathe couple from Won by One Jamaica sheltered as Hurricane Melissa battered Harmons, Jamaica on Tuesday with heavy rain and wind. The volunteer team stayed at Harmony House and plans to clear debris and check on residents after the storm. KCTV 5
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ JCCC released its Spring 2025 Ruffalo Noel Levitz Student Satisfaction Inventory results—most students reported high satisfaction and 88% would choose the college again—with 591 responses showing scores in intellectual growth, campus safety, and staff support that exceeded national averages. These results will help guide future initiatives as the college continues to support its students. Johnson County Post
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Kansas Cold Weather Rule will go into effect on November 1—utility companies must not disconnect service when temperatures are forecast to drop below 35 degrees in the next 48 hours and are required to offer a 12-month payment plan for customers with past due bills. Customers must contact their utility providers to set up the payment plan and avoid service interruption during cold weather. FOX 4 Kansas City
