  • In Johnson County, Democrat Melanie Haas was re-elected to the Kansas State Board of Education's 2nd District with 62% of the vote, while Republican Connie O'Brien secured the 4th District seat, leading to a rightward shift in the board's ideological balance.  Johnson County Post
