HEALTH NEWS

  • On November 18th, the Kansas Committee on Health Care Stabilization finished its review of the Health Care Provider Insurance Availability Act that uses state funds to help pay for malpractice insurance, and lawmakers now suggest it be expanded to cover advanced practice registered nurses—nurses who often pay for their own coverage. The legislature will review this change in January 2026—possibly helping local nurses lower their costs while keeping patients safe.  FOX 4 Kansas City

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Home values are up and many in Olathe may use their home’s equity to pay for debts, fix up their homes, or cover college costs. Banks require that a house keeps 10—15% equity remaining—so borrowers must plan carefully before tapping into their home’s value.  Johnson County Post
