- ➤ Corinth Elementary in Prairie Village was ranked as the top elementary school in Kansas by U.S. News and World Report for its high reading and math scores and low student ratio, while Jewish Family Services and Restore Community Church distributed 2,300 pounds of food to over 300 people amid food aid concerns. Lenexa artist Catherine Kirkland is showing cheerful paintings at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center through Dec.6 — Prairie Village native Sam Fotopoulos earned USTA Hall of Fame honors and two local historic sites received a Shaping the Frontier Award. - ➤ JCPRD offers 500+ programs from January through April that include art workshops, sports, museum tours and travel experiences for all ages; registration opened on November 24 and the district also provides virtual classes and Spring Break camps for families.
