- ➤ Locally-owned Rainy Day Books marked its 50th anniversary this year in Johnson County after overcoming pandemic challenges and online retail competition—three years after a change in ownership. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ This December, the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art will debut three new exhibits featuring works by Linda Lighton, Michael Brantley, and Angeline Rivas and host two free artist events. The exhibits run from December 13 through May 3, and one event is an artist talk on December 12 (6-7 p.m.) while the other is a dialogue on December 13 (1-2:30 p.m.). Johnson County Post

- ➤ Olathe got its first snow of the season on Monday, causing questions about traffic and plowing schedules. City crews plowed main roads first + then cleared residential streets as about three inches of snow fell while school classes continued on schedule. Olathe Reporter
