Olathe kicked off its winter holiday events at Stagecoach Park with the glOlathe light display featuring over 100,000 bulbs and eight miles of string lights—set to remain until the end of the year.

KCookies, an Olathe-based cookie shop with many loyal fans, will open a new store inside a Queen’s Price Chopper grocery store in southern Overland Park by Christmas.
The new location will offer 6-ounce cookies, up to 12 ice cream flavors and coffee from local brands with hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Snow and ice caused challenges across the country yesterday, and some Olathe schools delayed their start with roads remaining slick (local drivers are urged to be careful).

Tuesday, Kansas City’s 2026 World Cup leadership team revealed its transportation plan that uses four spots in Johnson County to move fans directly downtown or to Arrowhead Stadium— the tournament will feature six games and a fan fest at the World War I Memorial from June 16 to July 11.
