ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Late spring and early summer rain caused sinkholes and damaged Olathe’s aging stormwater systems, including flooding near Lake Olathe and several county roads. City officials assessed the unexpected repair costs amid ongoing evaluations for system improvements. Olathe Reporter
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Local officials approved a free airport shuttle pilot service connecting Lenexa City Center, the Overland Park Convention Center and KCI. The service will begin beta testing March 1, 2026 and open to the public May 1, 2026 (pilot lasts nine months). Johnson County
