- ➤ Downtown Olathe welcomes back the Mayor’s Christmas Tree after a 10-year break. Mayor John Bacon, Santa and Chiefs mascot KC Wolf lit the 32-foot tree Friday at the Downtown Olathe Library — community members donated $17,500 to the Mayor’s Children's Fund on Dec. 5. Olathe Reporter
