  • Teacher JC Van Deventer walked 16 miles overnight for three nights from his Lee's Summit home to his school in KCK to raise nearly $20,000 for Avenue of Life & support students facing homelessness. Friends joined him for the final mile at 6 a.m. on Thursday.  KCTV 5
